 We're Artisanal: we harvest 3 times a year, (bees harvest permitting).

As with fine vintage & varietal wines, every apiaries seasonal bounty is harvested, filtered & bottled separately: each “bottling” reflects the local flora in bloom at the time of bees gathering.  Supple flavor notes of each season’s harvest, each apiaries location.

 

Unblended, always!  Each season and apiaries' honey is bottled separately for specific flavor notes.  Commercial producers and honey sellers mix sources and harvests.

 

 Berzbeez®  is chemical free: no pesticides, no mite-i-sides, no herbicides, no poisons are ever used in hives or our apiaries.  Commercial pollinators and apiaries use chemicals on their hives, bees and yards.

 

   Berzbeez® never feeds high fructose corn syrup, hormones or antibiotic laced sugars to our hives!  Commercial keepers feed chemically laced unnatural sugars and medicines to their bees.

   Berzbeez® is 100% natural honey: never cooked or heated past the warmth of the hive!  Commercial producers cook their honey for consistent flavor and ease blending and bottling: that kills the natural enzymes and healthful properties of honey!

  Berzbeez® hand bottles each batch of honey: all equipment is cleaned and sanitized after each batch is bottled.  Our equipment is only used for our honey harvest.

Commercial bottlers do not flush and sanitize equipment after each harvest and batch

 

  Berzbeez® double gravity filters all of our honey: that leaves all the important pollen & enzymes in our healthful honey!

  Berzbeez®   non-filtered, raw honey is truly RAW!  It contains comb, proplis and pollen, "everything but the bees®"....right from our hives to your home!

 

   Berzbeez®  we're sustainable beekeepers.  We keep hives on sustainable and organic farms and properties!   Commercial producers & bottlers claim to be organic BUT a farm must be 3 to 5 miles in size to insure the honey is organic: there are no organic farms in New York City or Long Island that large. 

 

   Berzbeez®  allows the bees to feed naturally during the cold months: we leave each hive with plenty of honey for natural winter and early spring feeding.  Commercial keepers have to feed sugar substitutes to their hives to over winter.

Like fine varietal wine, cheese and chocolate; each season's blossoms and blooms flavors our honey giving the harvests their own spectacular, supple and wonderful flavor notes. 

 

Each apiary's harvest is separately centrifugally extracted from the comb, double filtered and hand bottled.  All equipment is sanitized after each run to ensure pristine and unadulterated seasonal Berzbeez® honey.

Honey Bee & Swarm removal

 

  Swarms are a natural part of a healthy bee hive's life cycle & survival: swarming perpetuates the line. Many times that new location will not be suitable for safe human/bee cohabitation.    Berzbeez® Honey bee rescue, removal & re-homing is a vital service to humans and our environment.  Feral honey bee colonies can become nuisance animals & rarely survive long local winters without human assistance.  Berzbeez® provides humane, pesticide free honey bee collection & re-location of these feral hives insures New York’s already stressed eco-system will continue to thrive.
